I’m an avid coupon user.  I love to see the numbers at the register drop.  With taxes so high where I live every little bit helps.  It’s really easy to get caught up in the coupon game and purchase stuff you don’t need, want or ever use just because you have a coupon.  Remember that just because you have a coupon, it doesn’t mean you have to use it!  Use coupons for items you use everyday and trade the others with a friend for things you will you!

My second biggest tip is to combine your coupons with sales.  Every 6 weeks or so, a major grocery chain in my area offers “No Tax” sales.  So I save my coupons for those trips and use them during the sales for an added price reduction!  This is especially handy when it comes to items like toilet paper and diapers!
