An Alphabet Trip To The Limerick Zoo – Review

An Alphabet Trip To The Limerick Zoo

I had the opportunity to review the ebook and colouring book “An Alphabet Trip To The Limerick Zoo” written by Jeannette Ramirez and illustrated by AIC College of Design.

My daughter loved ths book. It has 26 brightly coloured illustrations teamed up with 26 adorable limerick poems. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by an animal. Each limerick teaches a new and interesting fact about an animal.
We read the full colour book together on her computer. We had a lot of fun naming the animals in the pictures and learning the names of some new ones…I never heard of a Quagga, have you? The bright colours of the images and the lyrical nature of the limericks held her attention. Young readers may find some of the words in the book a challenge but it is an excellent way of teaching children how to write limerick poetry of their own.

An Alphabet Trip to the Limerick Zoo - Colouring PageOur favourite part was that this also comes as a colouring book. My daughter had fun choosing her favourite pictures to colour, and because she loves repetition, she’d choose her favourites over and over again.

Wondering what to give your child or grandchild for Christmas? This eBook is a wonderful choice. It can be used on a laptop, kindle, nook or tablet and of course the traditional format…paper. Here is a quick preview of what you’ll find in this book.
