There always seems to be a night-light on at my house. There is one in my daughters room, the bathroom and the hall. While the night-light is important to my daughter getting a good night’s sleep it makes it next to impossible for me to fall asleep. Since the light bothers me I always use a sleep mask.
Over the years I have gone through various styles of masks. The new Contoured Sleep Mask from Dream Essentials is one of the most comfortable masks I’ve worn. The most outstanding thing about the mask that is the eye contours. This is the one feature that makes it the most comfortable for me. I suffer from allergies and dry eyes, and the contours keep the mask from pressing against my eyes.
The mask is lightweight and cool. The elastic strap is quite wide. When my kids need me in the night, I can simply slide the mask up on my head like a headband and it stays put. I don’t have to go searching for my mask in the dark, and it comes with me from room to room.
There is a large strip of Velcro on the back which makes it easy to adjust it to fit. I had three other people try the mask on and each person was able to adjust it to block out all the light. In fact, it worked so well that we used it as the mask for a “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” game.
I recently suffered from a sinus infection and the fact that I could adjust the mask was a real blessing for me. My face hurt to touch. I was able to loosen the mask enough to take the pressure off my sinus while still blocking out all the light.
The mask does it job perfectly. It’s comfortable, stays in place while I sleep and blocks out all the light which helps make for a good night’s sleep.
