Let The Little Children Come

During the summer months my children love to explore their faith by attending the various Vacation Bible Schools across the Island. Each VBS offers a take home evangelism tool for the them to share with family and friends. Over the years I have noticed that the more interactive a tool is, the more the children will share them. The “Let The Children Come” offers unique gospel tracts and evangelism tools for children.

Animated Tracts

The animated tracts look strange at first. My daughter was excited to discover that when she placed the striped plastic sheet over the images and slowly moved it, the images began to move! She spent a lot of time exploring each book. The animations have their pro’s and con’s in my eyes. At first my daughter was consumed by making the animations move, it was only after she saw each image that she went back to read what it was all about. At first I thought that this was a con, but after reading the “How to Guide” I discovered that this is how the tract was designed. It starts by capturing the child’s attention and then you can return to the cover page and begin sharing the message of salvation.

I liked that at the end of each tract is a brief message of how we can ask Jesus into our lives. It also includes a short prayer. I love that a prayer is added to the end of the book to show children that they are able to speak to God all on their own. They don’t need to know fancy words or be three pages long. A pray can be as simple as a few honest words coming from your heart.

I do wish that perhaps a different translation of John 3:16 was chosen. My children are familiar with the verse, memorizing it in Sunday school but I feel that many children just introduced to the Bible may not understand what “perish” means.

The tracts come with a “How to Use Guide” which helps you know what to say when sharing the tracts with people. It takes you step by step on what you can say and included Bible Verses for you to share. I do wish that these scripture references were included on each page, rather than waiting on me to remember. I do understand that they weren’t included in the tracts so not to overload the listener with too many verses.

Pop up t

The Pop-Up Tracts are pocket sized books that share the message of faith with children. My son loved to see the images pop up out of the page. His favourite was “The Lost Easter Egg” which tells the story of “The Lost Sheep” from the Bible. I like how this tract started off with an experience of an Easter Egg hunt that most children can relate to and then moves into the Bible story. Again, I wish that these pop-up tracts shared a scripture reference. The back of each book shares a brief message of faith and a short prayer.

The “FlipAbouts” are amazing folding puzzles that will entertain your child. My daughter loves this puzzle. She spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out each puzzle. I love that the “FlipAbouts” can be kept in your wallet and taken out to keep to share with your child anywhere.  These tools plant the seeds of the gospel in the mind and hearts of children without hitting them over the head with the gospel message. I feel that these tools would be more accepted by non or new believers than many of the others tools in the sampler pack. Be sure to read the “How to Guide” that accompanies each pack as it will help you focus on the important points of each “FlipAbout”, that may not be immediately evident by just looking at the images.

The Bracelets and Wordless Books are amazing daily reminders of the message of Salvation. Each colour represents a key point on the Christian gospel. I have seen these many times and they are always well received by everyone. For the believer they are a reminder of message of Salvation. To the Non-believer it can simply be a bracelet that they wear, but perhaps they will remember the message that was shared when they received the bracelet.

The Wordless book is small enough to slip into a wallet and contains no words, but just colours to help you tell the story of salvation.

I would highly recommend reading the “How to Guides” that come with each tract or tool. They provide important points to message and offer helpful tips on how to effectively share the Salvation message.

The “Let The Little Children Come” sampler pack contains a variety of evangelism tools for you to use when sharing the Salvation message with others. Visit the website to explore  and order the various tools to use in your ministry!
