Epson ET-2750 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier

Today we were in the middle of a “weather bomb”. School was cancelled and it wasn’t long before I heard the children complaining that they were bored. What’s a mom to do? I turned to the internet to download a new game and some other activities. I printed them using the “Epson ET-2750 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier”.

“Epson ET-2750 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier” is easy to set up. It comes with a “Start Here” poster that walks you through the set up process. A disk with the drivers and the Epson 2 Scanning software is included as well. Setup was straight forward.  As soon as the printer was connected to the internet we were asked to update the firmware. There was no need to connect to a computer, it simply downloaded and applied the firmware without any intervention other than a confirmation that we wanted to proceed.

While the setup “Epson ET-2750 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier”  is easy, the LED display is awkwardly small making it difficult to do some of the needed configuration. The front panel can be adjusted to suit your needs.

“Epson ET-3700 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier” comes with enough ink to print 5200 colour pages. Your printing will vary based on a variety of factors including the amount of colour in each document. The ink comes in convenient bottles that you use to fill the cartridges. Each cartridge is keyed by colour so that you don’t accidentally fill the wrong one. If you have any left over ink in the bottles, you can simply replace the cover and store them upright in a safe place. I find that the printing isn’t as vibrant as some other printers.

The paper is form fed. I would have preferred if there was a paper tray, I find it just looks neater and prevents the paper from getting damaged. I love that you can do double sided printing. This is a great way to cut down on paper waste. I do find that the printer is slightly noisy.

The scanner works well but I am not a fan of the scanning software. I find it doesn’t give me the ability to adjust my scans as easily as my old epson software. Perhaps it’s just part of me that is resistant to change.

The “Epson ET-2750 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier” is a great home printer for it’s price point. It’s wireless capability allows you to print from any computer or tablet connected to the network making it a great choice for any busy family.  If you are like me and prefer a printer with a paper tray and a larger LED screen consider looking at the “Epson ET-3700 Color Photo Printer with Scanner & Copier” it costs approximately 100 dollars more but fixes the two things I had issue with.
